An App for the general practitioner dealing with patients with allergic rhinitis.
The objective is to provide the general practitioner a simple tool to evaluate performance in patients with allergic rhinitis, the probability that a patient has to be suffering from an allergic form and therefore the need to perform allergy testing, reminding the patient that the 'single order for the execution of a diagnostic test for the respiratory allergy is to start a specific treatment of immunotherapy. This choice will be made dall'Allergologo based on clinical and laboratory criteria.
The result expressed by the App is given by an algorithm obtained from the analysis of a database of patients with rhinitis who were evaluated nell'ambulatorio of Allergy of Palermo biomedical Department of Internal and Specialist Medicine (Di.Bi.MI.S) .
This App is the result of a clinical research that has been the subject of three publications in International Journals, which was attended by many doctors, especially Dr. Maria-Stefania Leto Barone and Dr. Simona La Piana

The allergy diagnostics has a cost and then this tool will streamline the patient's direct and indirect costs of the Health System related to this disease which has an estimated prevalence in the general population which is over 20%.
The App is free and can only be used by Doctors registered with the Provincial Associations of Physicians, by entering the numeric part of your ENPAM code.
The creation of the App was made possible thanks to the contribution by the Biomedical Department of Internal and Specialist Medicine (Di.Bi.MI.S).
The project was approved and supported by the members of the Task Force Evidence Based Medicine of the Italian Society of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (SIAAIC).
